About Dr. Aaron Sarathy
Dr. Sarathy is a Charleston native who attended Bishop England High School and is a graduate of the University of South Carolina.
He received his degree from the Medical University of South Carolina. Following graduation, he entered the US Navy on active duty and is currently in the US Naval Reserves.
Dr. Sarathy completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at the National Naval Medical Center, Bethesda, MD, Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Washington, DC, and at Naval Hospitals in Bethesda. He was appointed to the Department of Head and Neck Surgery division of oral and maxillofacial surgery at the Naval Hospital in Beaufort, SC. From 2006-2010, Dr. Sarathy served as staff Oral & Maxillofacial surgeon treating Navy personnel, US Marines, and recruits at both the Naval Hospital and Parris Island.
He specializes in all aspects of oral and maxillofacial surgery including dental implants, soft-tissue augmentation and bone grafting of the jaws, dental-alveolar surgery including third molar extractions, facial cosmetic surgery such eye and brow surgery, face and neck lifting, ear pinning, facial implants and more. He also has expertise in corrective jaw surgery, surgery of the jaw for craniofacial deformities or OSA, facial trauma, management of pathology such as cysts and tumors in the jaw, and biopsies and treatment of oral lesions. He is a member of the Carolina Cleft Lip & Palate Team.
Dr. Sarathy is a member of American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS), the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery (AACS), Southeastern Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (SSOMS), South Carolina Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and the American Society of Dental Anesthesiology (ASDA) and the American Dental Association (ADA).
He enjoys fishing, diving, and music. When he’s not hard at work, he can be found spending time with his wife and two children.
