About Dr. A. Drane Oliphant
A SC native, he received a full academic scholarship to the Honors Program at The Citadel and graduated as a fifth generation graduate Summa Cum Laude. He was awarded the President’s Medal by Major General Grinalds for most outstanding senior cadet. He is currently an Officer in the Army National Guard.
Dr. Oliphant received his Degree of Doctor of Dental Medicine from Medical University of South Carolina in 2007 and graduated with honors from the University of Kentucky, College of Medicine with a Degree of Doctor of Medicine in 2011. He performed as Chief Resident in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. He is trained in all aspects of oral and maxillofacial surgery to inlcude dentoalveolar surgery, office-based anesthesia, and dental implants and related bone grafting, as well as implants, bone/soft tissue grafting, and corrective jaw surgery for craniofacial deformitites and OSA (Obstructive Sleep Apnea).
Dr. Oliphant has Advanced Training in Reconstruction of Ballistic Injuries of the Craniomaxillofacial Region.
He is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS), American Medical Association (AMA), Academy of Osseointegration (AO), and the OKU Dental Honor Society.
Dr. Oliphant enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time with his wife and daughter.
