About Dr. Strauss
A Kentucky native, he graduated from Centre College.
Dr. Strauss received his Dental Degree from University of Louisville School of Dentistry where he graduated Summa Cum Laude.
He received his medical degree and completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and was Chief Resident at the University Hospital at East Orange VA Hospital. Dr. Strauss also completed an internship in General Surgery at University Hospital in Newark, NJ.
He has extensive experience in dentoalveolar surgery, office-based anesthesia, dental implants and related bone grafting, facial cosmetic surgery and skin care, facial trauma and reconstruction, oral and maxillofacial pathology, cleft lip and palate repair, and trigeminal nerve microsurgical repair. He is a member of the Carolina Cleft Lip & Palate Team. Dr. Strauss has organized and participated in an international outreach to Guayaquil, Ecuador, for the treatment of children with cleft lips and palates with Healing the Children.
Dr. Strauss is a Member of American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS), Southeastern Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (SSOMS), South Carolina Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and the American Dental Association.
He enjoys fishing, golf, quail hunting, and spending time with his wife and children.
